Siddons Solarstream Upgrades

Siddons Heat Pumps and Siddons Energy Systems can now be upgraded. We are glad to say that all old Siddons Solarstream Heat Pump Water Heaters can be upgraded to Ecogenica Heat Pumps, if the Solarstream stainless steel water cylinder is in good order. The Siddons Solarstream hot water tanks last well over 20 years, so recently we upgraded this one which is 14 years old. The Ecogenica Heat Pump is located on the roof and the condenser tank is located 5 meters below on the ground.

The Siddons Solarstream was developed by Sustainable ES in the early 2000 period and it was the first Heat Pump Water Heater in Australia to use the innovative condenser tank with One Shot Coupling connectors to the Heat Pump. The One Shot Coupling meant installation where fast and easy to perform.

The design featured a condenser tank which was made from polypropylene and a Stainless Steel inner mains pressure water cylinder.  We anticipate that once upgraded to the Ecogenica Heat Pump the system will last for up to 30 years. Testing showed the system heated the 315 litre hot water cylinder in two hours, using less than 2 kWh, during the month of March, 2023.

Also upgradeable are Quantum Energy heat pumps.
