30 Years of Innovation

What Does a 30-Year-Old Heat Pump Water Heater Look Like?

Siddons Solar stream, Quantum, and other older brands can now be upgraded under the State Government rebate scheme. We installed this Heat Pump Water Heater in 1995. The Quantum Solar Boosted Heat Pump Water Heaters shown here use black aluminium panels, which are installed on the roof. The heat pump extracts heat from the sun. The panels absorb energy from the wind, rain, and sunshine. Originally known as the Siddons SolarPlus, before the name change to Quantum, it was Australia's first residential heat pump water heater. Shown in the photo is a system we sold to Philip Burkert, Robinvale, Vic, in 1995, and in 2025, it is still going very well, saving Philip upwards of 75% on his hot water bill, he told us. He is preparing his upgrade plans now; however, you should be ready to avoid delays.
