Sustainable Energy Systems have been at the forefront of Heat Pump Hot Water and Solar solutions for more than 30 years!
Shown in the image above is the 17-year-old Siddons Heat Pump Hot Water System, that was supplied by Sustainable Energy System, to the Crown Plaza Hotel, Singapore. The heat pumps reduced hot water costs by around 70% compared to the previous electric hot water system.
Ecogenica Heat Pump Hot Water Heaters are one of the most energy efficient heat pump water heater in the world, delivering an outstanding 80% energy savings, compared to an electric water heater.
Developed by Sustainable ES and Eco Alliance, the design is the result of 30 years of development and refinement and whilst sometimes discredited, as a low-cost product, the design is one of the most innovative, reliable and energy efficient Heat Pump Water Heaters today.
The Ecogenica split heat pump save up to 80% of household energy bills for hot water. The most energy efficient hot water heater on the market in Australia (March 2023).
The calculators listed here are to be used to determine the energy used and cost of hot water, depending on how many people use the system a day.
Please note, the yellow cells are editable. The specifications are generated automatically when you use the drop-down menus.
We recommend you use your energy bill tariffs and an estimate of hot water use. Generally, a family uses about 50 to 60 litres of hot water a day, per person.
Solar power systems have transformed the energy production profile of many countries, improving the way countries make power. However, more needs to be done.
How much solar power is needed to make hot water?
Well, it depends on the number of solar panels you have (and the power output of the panels). And it also depends on the amount of hot water you use, and the energy used to make hot water. A Heat Pump Hot Water Heater will reduce power requirements, to make hot water by around 80% (with a high-quality Heat Pump like the Ecogenica).
So, we have published a spreadsheet here to help you calculate this relationship. The spreadsheet will show you power used by an electric water heater, an Ecogenica Heat Pump Water Heater and SolarEdge solar panels.
The link at the bottom of this page takes you to the interactive spreadsheet.
